Claudia Duarte-Chairez, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in social services for over 10 years. I received both my Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Social Work and have worked primarily with children and families in the Child Welfare system.
My Approach and Values
I value the relationship between client and therapist and believe this is one of the most important aspects of the therapeutic process. Therefore, I strive to provide a safe space for my clients, by providing a supportive, validating and on non-judgmental environment, in hopes that they will feel comfortable being their true self.
I recognize that you are the expert of your life and I am here to listen, provide support and help guide you to where you want to be. I believe that therapy is a partnership and we will work together to help you achieve your goals.
I use an eclectic approach to help clients examine past experiences, and how those experiences impact current emotions, behaviors and functioning. With compassion, and a non-judgmental approach, together we will work toward healing, and self-empowerment.
My Expertise
. I have been in the social services field for over a decade working primarily with children and families who have experienced abuse and neglect. I earned my L.C.S.W. in 2018 and have experience working with children and adults of various backgrounds.
My Education
I graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from CSU Los Angeles in 2009 with an emphasis in Child Welfare.
