Luis Martinez, LMFT
My name is Luis Martinez and I am a Licensed Marriage Family therapist. I have provided treatment since 2016 and been involved with agencies that strengthen and empower our community for past 8 years. Therapy is about an having an honest discussion about what needs to improve, be modified, or change in your life for you to reach your goals.
My Approach and Values
Life is not black and white. Life is made of plenty of gray areas. Gray areas that I can help you map out to search, identify, manage, repair, and maintain a healthy lifestyle and relationships you can be proud of.
“An unexamined life is not worth living” – Socrates
Most of my experience stems from working with individuals, couples, and families that have experienced anxiety, depression, loss, grieving, behavioral issues (children and adolescents mainly), anger problems, social issues (lack of friends, communication problems, maintaining positive relationships, boundaries, etc.), school problems (anxiety in school, public speaking, confidence decline in grades, etc.), adjustment to change (mild, moderate, severe), low self esteem, marital/partner conflict, severe mental disorders, and lack of meaning/purpose utilizing different approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and existential therapy.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino and my MS in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage Family Therapy from California Baptist University.
