My Approach & Values
I am experienced with victims/survivors of abuse, grief and loss, parenting issues, self-esteem issues, addiction, and stages of life concerns. I conduct sessions in office and online, with individuals, couples, and group therapies. Other valuable experiences include 30+ years working in Elementary, Middle School, High School and college teaching/counseling.
My approaches include; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, Supportive Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
My Expertise
I specialize in working with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety and depression. I most enjoy helping others resolve their personal issues and have a positive therapeutic experience.
My Education
My education: I attended California State University, San Bernardino. I have a BA in Psychology, and a MA in Education with a Counseling Option. I value my experiences interning in a groundbreaking domestic violence program, also in a private practice learning psychological testing and individual therapy techniques. I keep up with the latest therapy techniques and research through conferences and online courses. I also have Life Teaching Credential (K-8), and a Pupil Personal Credential.
I am a veteran. I served 4 years with the United States Air Forces, honorably discharged, E-5.
