My Education

  • Mr. Kaufman began his career as a classical clarinetist and as a hotel manager before returning to college to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. 
  • Mr. Kaufman holds a Master’s in Music and a Master’s in Transpersonal Psychology.

My ultimate goal is to provide an environment that is warm, caring, understanding, non-judgmental and promotes growth for clients to be mentally, physically and emotionally healthy.

I provide therapy to individuals, couples, adolescents and families. I have experience with substance use, addictions, human trafficking and trauma, however I see people from all paths of life. I also work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, anger challenges, ADHD, personality disorders (including Narcissistic and Borderline), self-harming behaviors, PTSD and obsessive compulsive disorder with collaborative individualized treatment plans. I counsel adults, couples, adolescents, families and children using play therapy, Behavioral, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

I specialize in working with anxiety and depressive disorders. I enjoy my time spent helping others and I strive to make it so that others are able to have a positive therapeutic experience.

My Education

I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. I graduated from Argosy University with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I continued on to work on my Doctor of Education degree but never completed my dissertation to complete the program.
