Therapists Who Accept Kaiser Permanente in California
ACT Family Counseling has been a contracted Kaiser Permanente provider for more than twenty years, and in that time our clinicians have seen thousands of members. If you have been trying to get in with a therapist and your plan is Kaiser, you are not starting over with a practice that has to learn it from scratch.
We already know how your plan works
Two decades of billing the same insurer means our administrative staff knows the authorization rules, which plans need a referral first and which do not, and where claims tend to get stuck. You should not have to become an expert in your own benefits in order to be seen. We check what your particular policy covers before your first session and tell you plainly what to expect, so the paperwork is our job rather than yours.
Kaiser behavioral health care, from an outside provider
ACT is a contracted Kaiser Permanente provider, so members can be seen here directly. Your visits are billed in the ordinary way, whether you meet your therapist by video anywhere in California or in person at one of our offices. If you are unsure whether an authorization is needed first, ask and we will find out for you.
What members come to us for
Mostly the ordinary, serious things: anxiety that will not settle, depression, grief, a marriage that has gone quiet, a teenager who has stopped talking, a job that ended. Our therapists work with individuals, couples and families, and couples counseling is a large part of what we do. You do not need a diagnosis to make an appointment, and you do not need to have worked out what the problem is before you arrive.
Mental health care in Ontario and across Southern California
Our main office is in Ontario, with further locations in Rancho Cucamonga, Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, and telehealth available anywhere in the state.
Making it straightforward
Send an intake request with your name, how to reach you, and a short note about what you are looking for. Our staff confirms your benefits, we match you with a therapist by what you need and who has availability, and anything unclear gets settled before your first session rather than after it. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better — that is a normal outcome, not a failed inquiry.
